Sausage and Ale Festival 2020! with Tankus the Henge, The Rasscals, Soulcraft, Sam Green and the Midnight Heist, Drop In The Ocean, Shake The Geek + more to be announced!
Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th April.
Friday from 7pm –
Opening the show – Shake the Geek (indie rock covers and originals), 7.30pm – 8.30pm.
Drop in the Ocean (Ska, Indie, jump around!), 9.00pm – 10.00pm.
Tankus the Henge (gypsy carnival rock n roll!) 10.30pm – 12pm.
Saturday from 3pm –
times and more acts to be announced. So far we have The Rasscals (excellent covers band, everything from Kings of Leon to Stevie Wonder to The Jam), Soulcraft (Funk Soul and R’n’B), Sam Green and the midnight Heist (Folk Americana from North Devon!), Spaced Invaders (80’s covers, New romantic).
Held in St Mary’s Hall, in the picturesque shipbuilding village of Appledore on the 3rd – 4th April 2020. Showcasing a wide range of local Ales, Ciders and Sausages, some from further afield too. With live music though out and free children’s entertainment. There will be many other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages also available. FREE ENTRY FOR CHILDREN ACCOMPANIED BY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT.
Score cards will be available for the revellers to rate the Ales, Ciders and Sausages. The score cards will contribute towards the judging, and prize winning beverage and Sausage.
The live entertainment will include music on both the Friday evening from 7pm and Saturday from 3pm until late. Fantastic children’s entertainment will be provided from 3pm on the 4th April.
Appledore is situated on the estuary mouth of the Torridge and Taw, offering beautiful views, pubs and restaurants, shops and cafes, galleries and historic places.
Parking is available at the large Churchfields Carpark at the end of the Quay as well as the West Appledore Carpark and the Odun Rd Carpark near the Maritime Museum.
Appledore has a some great local pubs which offer food and live entertainment, including; The Beaver Inn along Irisha Street, The Champion of Wales tucked away behind The Seagate Hotel, as well as The Royal and The Social Club. Sailor’s Retreat is a Quay side Cafe. The Coffee Cabin on the Quay front is a ‘Taste of the West’ Gold award winner and has some lovely cakes too. Market Street Kitchen on the historic Market Street also has fantastic cakes as well as a lunch menu.
